Schoenberg String Trio

In 1946, after a near fatal heart attack Schönberg lay in bed, in fevered dreams he knew that he had to finish the string trio he had begun just a month before. The work took on a total new meaning after his brush with the reaper, and he worked tirelessly to finish it only 2 weeks.

Arnold wistfully reminiscences for his hometown of Vienna, recounts the phantasmagoric and absurdist experience on the operating table, where a syringe to the heart saved his life, and gives us a glimpse at what he experienced while floating between existence and the void.

Kurtag Sketches

A selection of short pieces for voice and violin composed by the great Gyorgy Kurtag. In the spirit of fun and playfulness they have been enriched with some(-times extravagant) audio FX and fanciful video editing.

To be enjoyed with whimsy and wine.

Performed by Leonor Figueredo and Mishi Stern
